About

My love of Indian clothes and textiles started when I first visited in 2019, I felt like I was coming home, never feeling so relaxed and soul fullfiled in this chaotic bliss... The word and feeling of Ananda which means bliss in Hindi followed me everywhere, and continues to follow me everywhere I go...

For a long time I have wanted to create an Eastern Emporium. An Aladdins cave of treasures that you can cherish forever and pass down to your daughter's daughters. I want to make women feel empowered, sexy & unstoppable. To make you feel like a Goddess.

I came back to India in 2023 and found Yousuf's shop in Pushkar, Rajasthan where we immediately connected and he became like an Uncle to me. I was transfixed by the beauty and detail of the Kashmiri skill weaved into the Vests. I hadn't seen anything like them and knew I had to share and bring them back with me, I naturally wanted to see where and how they were made. I went to Kashmir and stayed with Yousuf and his family on their houseboat in Srinagar and visited the workshop where the artisans make the waistcoats, then designed the embroidery where they then hand sewed their magic into each piece with love and care. Each Shakti Vest is made from ethically sourced rabbit fur, where the community use all of the byproduct to sustain and support their families.

This year I spent 3 months in Pushkar where I made some new and trusting connections with Sachin who gave me the confidence and space to design more creations including the Madameji Jacket which will be here towards Autumn. Not forgetting Babu who supplied the incredible rare pure silk Saris for The Laxmi Cloaks.

I strive to adorn women and their nests with the most divine and enchanting treasures from the East, designed and sourced with Shakti energy in every sense...

Welcome to Ananda Emporium,
